The Matrix product series, designed specifically for the Jeep WK Grand Cherokee (some components will fit the Jeep XK Commander as well), is an extraordinary, multi-functional accessory that provides for the integration of a variety of features using a modular concept, which allows the customer to purchase only components they want/need and the opportunity for future upgrades, provides easy and less expensive replacement of damaged or broken components, allows for customization of the product, and minimizes shipping costs. .

The product series has four primary functions:

1. Protection. The vehicle's plastic fascia does not lend itself to encounters with trail or "mall" obstacles, and you can't even give someone a simple push much less lift the front with a HiLift-type jack during an emergency.
2. Illumination. There is nothing quite like driving a trail or deserted highway at night with off-road lights, which are an especially neat accessory when installed to function with the automatic headlight feature of some models.
3. Extraction. Decent tow hooks or D rings (actually Bow Shackles), a location for the emergency use of a HiLift-type jack, and perhaps a winch are all critical vehicle components for serious off-road adventures.
4. Customization. Half the fun is building a rig up--making it something unique and your own--is a functional, nice-looking accessory.

Both the Basic and HC versions have these features:

• Bolt on, using OEM tow-hook and other locations along frame and cross-member.
• Sand blasted prior to powder-coating to increase durability.
• Light weight relative to features means minimal extra front-end wear/tear (see weights of configurations and kits below).
• Less than 2 degree decrease in approach angle (extends <2 in. blw fascia).
• Optional 2-in Receiver Lit allows mounting up to a 9,000 lb. portable winch.
• Fits Jeep Grand Cherokee (WK) 2005+ or Commander (XK) 2006+ as indicated below.
• Accessories include Bow Shackle kit and Portable Winch mount.

Additional features of the Matrix Basic

• Mounting points for OEM/after-market tow hooks or bow shackles/D-rings

  (designed for 4.75 ton, 3/4 in. bow shackles/D-rings)
• Shackle mount is 1/2 inch steel, all other is 7 gauge (almost 1/4 inch) plate steel

Additional features of the Matrix HC

• 8 mounting locations for off-road lights (2 are used for Grill Hoop mounting).
• Emergency lift points for "Hi-lift-type" jacks are designed with safety in mind.
• Optional Grill Hoop and Brush Rails are of 2-inch tubing w/ bolt-on mounting (see below). Rail kit provides a wrap-around design for maximum corner protection, but tubes can be easily cut to shorter length if preferred.
• Protection of front fascia/lights/etc. depending on overall configuration.
• Silver-tone or semi-gloss black horizontal component w/ logo.
• Shackle mount is 1/2 inch steel, all other is 7 gauge steel except for cross piece which is 10 gauge steel
• Tested on extreme trails in Colorado and Utah...USA Built
